2018 Haunts

No haunt production this year, for reasons I’d outlined in last year’s Haunt 2017 page.
BUT, my Poof’s First Halloween was published. It’s already had a far greater reach than the
800+ people
that came to my little UnLivingston haunt last year.  Breaking that number down, it
was about 500 “unique visitors” plus many who were repeats. One bright, amiable high schooler
paid
12 times to go through, each time bringing friends.  I of course then had to invite him to be
a volunteer actor for the last couple days, which he gleefully accepted, and did a good job!  It’s kids
like that who’ve given me hope for our future, and kept me doing these odd, fun ventures all these years.
But back to Poof.  Thanks to Dan Rice of Riverfeet Press for interior layout and typesetting.
Thanks also to Printing For Less (PFL.com) of Livingston, MT, for the fantastic print quality,
superb service and expediency.  Oh, and get this: this run of Poof was cheaper than any national
printer we could find!  And there was no shipping cost, ’cause they’re right here in town. Odds
usually weigh heavily against cards falling like this.
I’ll likely be leaving Montana soon to teach again, but wherever I land, PFL will be my go-to for
printing ANYTHING!
Lastly, I’m eternally grateful to Kirstin Garber, who appeared after 20 years of my searching for
just-the-right artist for this daydream to be made into reality.

Below are a few teases from Poof’s First Halloween

Maybe the Salem Witch Trial judges weren’t totally wrong. Maybe it wasn’t ergot poisoning that made people hallucinate cats on their chests; it mighta been just really demanding and stubborn kitties.

Would YOU go up there? I’d be sprinting to it!
